23 Scripture
Verse for Today These things have I written unto you that believe
on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son
of God. (1 John 5:13)
If you were to die this minute, do you know that you would go to Heaven? You can certainly have
that assurance! The scriptures are written to tell us how to obtain eternal life, and to assure us of that
possession. 1 John dwells on the subject of assurance. We read the word “know”
or its equivalent forty times in this book. When you place
your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrificial work you can be assured that He dwells in you by the Holy Spirit and
that you have eternal life. (1 John 3:24) Fanny J. Crosby
wrote these words, "Blessed assurance Jesus is mine!” You and I can enjoy that same assurance!
