25 – HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS! Scripture Verse for Today
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
(Revelation 1:8)
What
is Christmas all about? Some would say Santa Claus and presents; others, family, friends, parties, or profits. The first six letters
of Christmas reveal why we celebrate. It’s really all about Jesus Christ! He is
the beginning, the Creator of all things. He is the ending, the coming King who will raise the dead and
call His church up to Heaven.
Between those two times, about 2000 years ago, He left the comforts of Heaven, entered into a virgin’s womb,
and lived on Earth for 33 years. Then he offered Himself on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for
our sins, saving all who will believe. God’s unspeakable gift to us is Jesus. He’s
what it’s all about! ~~
