Verse for Today
Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 124:8)
I once heard of a story about a meeting of the pastor and the deacons. They had worked for days
trying to solve a problem, but to no avail. In that meeting one exclaimed, “If we do not work this
problem out soon, we are going to have to start praying about it.”
To whom do we first turn when trouble comes? Many times we too tend to solve our problems on our
own, then exhausting all our efforts and failing in all of them, we look to the Lord.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, the creator of all things. Let’s first seek the Lord
and we will be spared many a sorrow. ~
