Verse for Today
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked
ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles
7:14)
This verse reveals the great recipe for revival. This recipe has worked successfully for thousands
of years and it will still work today. Four things are required of us: (1) humble ourselves, (2) pray,
(3) seek God’s face, and (4) turn from our wicked ways.
When an individual, a church or a nation meets these requirements the Lord will hear from Heaven, forgive our sins,
and heal our land. I have been blessed to experience some unusually great
local revivals. I have seen churches and communities moved by the mighty power of God and changed forever
by revival fires that swept through them. I wish that all America could experience an old fashioned, Spirit
filled, God’s glorifying, sin killing revival.
We need revival today – in our hearts, in our homes, in our churches, and in America! ~~
