An Upward Look

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psalm 5:3

Scripture Verse for Today

And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.  (2 Chronicles 31:21)

Half-heartiness is a curse of our times.  Time constraints often force us to make choices, and many times God’s worship and work are squeezed into a shorter time period while we make more room for these other things in our life.

We wonder why we are not prospering spiritually as we would like and blame it on other things or even other people, but the answer may lie in our priorities.  Do we put Jesus first?  Is He really Lord?  Is our work more important that God’s work?  Of course not.

Hezekiah served the Lord with all his heart.  God came first in his life.  When we truly seek Him with all our hearts, we will prosper!     ~
