Ezra’s three-fold resolution in life would be good for us to adopt: (1) seek the law of the Lord, (2) do it,
and (3) teach it.
First he sought God’s law. We
should read and study our Bibles every day. Afterwards we ought to spend the rest of the day meditating
on what we have read.
Ezra’s second step was to obey God’s word.
Just learning what the Lord wants us to do is not enough. We must put it into practice in our own
lives.
Only then may we be
qualified, as Ezra, to teach God’s word to others.
Adopt these resolutions
for your own, but keep them in the same order: seek, do, then teach. ~
