Verse for Today
A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. (Proverbs 17:17)
Friends come in many varieties. Some are fair-weather friends who seem close when things are going
good and are nowhere to be found when the going gets tough. Others are “friends” as long as
the friendship benefits them. Then there are those who are “true blue” friends who stick closer
than a brother, stick with you through thick and thin, and love you at all times: whether you are right or wrong, popular
or unpopular. A true friend loves you even when you seem unlovable,
becoming closer during those times when all others have forsaken you, and you have hit bottom. A true friend
is rare. Cherish those you have and be a friend to someone today. ~
Scripture
Verse for Today
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the
work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
What a wonderful world our creator has made! God must have enjoyed
those six days of creation. With delight He made every flower with its radiance and fragrance.
Maybe God had fun creating the animals with all their interesting details, making them diverse one from another.
He must have smiled as he brushed all the fish and birds with their brilliant colors.
One of the highlights must have been when He made the beautiful mountains and valleys and filled them with streams,
rivers, lakes, trees and wild plants of all kinds. I believe the pinnacle
of His creation happened on the sixth day when He formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed into him the breath of
life and man became a living eternal soul. When I see this
beautiful world I think, “My God must really love me! ~~
