Verse for Today
Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions. (Ecclesiastes
7:29)
Some have asked, “Did God make man flawed?” No! After God made every
living thing (including man) He looked upon His creation and declared it very good!
Adam and Eve were given a free will to obey or disobey their creator. Satan persuaded Eve to believe
that God really did not mean what He said. She and Adam then sinned by eating of the forbidden fruit.
You may wonder why God gave them a choice. He wanted humanity to love Him freely because they really
wanted to, not because they were forced. So it is today. God
wants you to love Him and live for Him, not because He makes you, but with your own free will.
