Verse for Today
I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; (Ezekiel 20:19)
Throughout the Book of Ezekiel God reminded His people the He was the Lord their God. Having established
that fact, God reminded them of their duty to walk in His statutes, to keep His judgments, and to do them.
Being a Christian is more than just saying we believe in God and His word; it is daily committing ourselves to doing
what He says. Living by God’s statutes will enhance our lives on this planet and assure us a home
in Heaven. Let’s not be like some who call Him, “Lord, Lord,” and do not what He says.
Only when we apply God’s word to our daily lives do we truly represent that holy name by which we are called,
Christians. ~~
