10 Scripture
Verse for Today
I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land
of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them. (Zechariah 10:10)
God tells Israel that He will bring them back into their homeland from all the nations where they have been scattered.
His assurance to Zechariah is based upon a promise that He made many generations earlier to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Sometimes
God’s promises are for a long time in the future. For instance, His promise to Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob to make a great nation of their descendents was fulfilled many years after their deaths. The promise
of the Messiah was fulfilled centuries after it was first given. We still look forward to the fulfillment
of the promise of the second coming of Christ, and someday, in His own time Jesus will come back from Heaven and call us home
to be with Him forever. God always keeps His promises; you can bank on them! We have a wonderful God that is both
merciful and powerful! ~~~
