Scripture Verse for Today

     Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.  (Mark 9:23)

      So many times, we put the “if” in the wrong place.  This man, who had an afflicted son, said to Jesus, “...if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.”  His statement seemed to indicate that it was entirely up to Jesus, and if it were not done, it was because Jesus could not do it.  Actually, Jesus does His work according to our faith, and His answer to the distraught father so indicated.

      The man cried to Jesus, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”  Jesus compassionately healed his son.

      Don’t blame God if your needs aren’t being met.  Believe in the Lord and take Him at His word.  Expect a miracle!    ~
