Scripture Verse for Today

     And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.  (Acts 10:42)

      Today Jesus is your Savior; tomorrow He may be your Judge.  The same loving Savior who loved this world so much that He gave up the majesty of Heaven to come down to this earth and die for us will someday be the Judge of both living and dead.  Those who have rejected Him as their Lord and Savior will stand before the same Jesus Christ of Nazareth and hear His pronouncement of doom, “Depart from me, you that work iniquity.”

      On the other hand, we who have been saved will stand at the judgment seat of Christ to answer as to how we have lived the Christian life.  Let’s live today in view of that event.    ~
