Scripture Verse for Today

     And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.  (Acts 16:31)

      When the Philippian jailor asked Paul and Silas the question, “What must I do to be saved?” he received the simple answer, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ!”  Some churches and ministers have made the way to salvation so complicated.  They have therefore confused those who want to come to Christ even to the point of giving up.

      After I had  preached in a revival meeting a young lady came to the altar, and was told by a woman, “It took me twenty years to get saved, and it may take you that long.”  I was shocked!  After I shared the simple plan of salvation, pointing out that today is the day of salvation, she was saved.    ~
