We are so helpless without God. When praised, we often want to swell our chests with pride and say,
“Yes, indeed I did quite well, didn’t I?” The truth is that without the blessings of
the Lord I would be a failure.
We who work for the Lord must realize that the only
way we can be a blessing is by the help and grace of God. He enables us. He gives us
strength beyond our own. He gives us wisdom beyond that of humans so that we might succeed.
If we try to go on our own without the Lord, we will fall flat on our faces and then realize that our sufficiency is
of God! ~
