Jesus came to remedy that situation, not just by pointing out the fact that we were sinners, but by suffering and dying upon an old rugged cross.  He took the curse of sin in His own body, therefore purchasing our redemption.  On that glorious first Christmas, while shepherds rejoiced, He knew that thirty-three years later He would die the cursed death of the cross.  Yet because He loved us, He submitted Himself to the agony of the cross.  Let’s praise Him today!    ~
