I read with great interest as Pharaoh, King of Egypt, meets an old man of one hundred and
thirty years named Jacob. Surely, I think, Pharaoh will bless this old man and his family who has just
fled from the barrenness of Palestine to the plenty of Egypt.
I am surprised!
Instead of blessing Jacob, he receives a blessing from Jacob. What did Jacob have to offer the King
of Egypt?
Jacob was a child of God and for many years had
walked with the Lord. Although his earthly coffers had grown low he was rich in the Lord.
Child of God, someone out there needs your blessing. Pray, seek God’s leadership and be a blessing
today! ~
