Verse for Today
And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one
that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. (Numbers 21:8)
When Moses made the fiery serpent little did the children of Israel know that it was a picture or type of God’s
son who would die on a cross, and that everyone who looked upon Him in faith would have spiritual healing and would live forever.
The Israelites may have suggested many different cures for the serpent’s bite, but only those who looked upon
the fiery serpent that Moses put upon a pole would live. Likewise, there are a lot of religions in the
world; however, only one is true. Only at Calvary was the supreme sacrifice for sin made and the sin debt
paid. Only those who put their faith in Jesus Christ will be saved. ~
