Verse for Today
Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. (Psalm 80:19)
Oh, what a vast difference the presence and blessing of the Lord makes! The writer of Psalm 80 called
upon God to restore Israel to favor with God. Their sin had caused God’s face to turn away from them.
Their lives were on a downward spiral, and they had experienced God’s chastisement upon them. Their
only hope of salvation would be through the Lord. Men and women of
today still try everything else first, but in the end they realize that there is no light, there is no restoration, there
is no blessing, and there is no salvation outside of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let the Lord Jesus shine in your heart and through your life today! ~
