23 Scripture
Verse for Today
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore
choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deuteronomy 30:19)
Just
as with Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-7), just as with Israel in the wilderness (Deuteronomy 30:19), and just as
with Joshua and his family (Joshua 24:15), the Lord has given us a choice between right and wrong, blessing and cursing, life
and death, and Heaven and hell. He has given us His word that we may observe the consequences of our choice.
He has given us His Spirit to lead us in the right choice. He has given us preachers and soul winners
to warn of the wrong choices; yet, most people make the wrong choices when it comes to spiritual things. We are not puppets on
a string, forced to do the right thing against our will. We have a free will to choose. When
you are at the crossroads, stop, pray and seek God’s way. It will always be the best!
