Verse for Today
The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory. (Psalm
64:10)
God’s people are happy people! It is a blessing to be around them. One
of most pleasant people that I have ever known is my grandpa, Sammie Loyd. Before he went to be with Jesus,
I always enjoyed his wit and wisdom. Many memorable times have I spent sitting in a room and listening
to him. Sometimes he would stump me with a riddle; other times he would bowl me over with a good clean
joke. He enjoyed life and made all those around him enjoy their lives more. Maybe he
is making the angels laugh this very minute. Gladness is contagious.
Today, think of the Lord’s blessing and rejoice. Spread God’s joy to those around you!
