An Upward Look

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psalm 5:3

Scripture Verse for Today

And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD.  (Jeremiah 48:42)

When nations magnify themselves against the Lord they will always find themselves on the losing side.  It makes me wonder, “Why do man fight against God?”  Do they not know that they will always be defeated?  Surely the devil deceives them into thinking they are right.

There are religions today who hate Christians.  They think that if they harm or even kill Christians they will be rewarded by their God.  What a lie of Satan!  The cowards who flew airplanes into the World Trade Center and into the Pentagon thought they would immediately go to Heaven and be rewarded greatly for their deed, but the truth is that they went immediately to hell where they are now burning in tormenting flames.  What a liar Satan is!    ~~

Scripture Verse for Today

The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.  (Jeremiah 50:25)

Make sure that you are on the Lord’s side!  His wrath is fiercer than one could imagine.  When nations turned against the Lord, they experienced His weapons of indignation during the fierceness of His wrath.

God permitted the Babylonians to become a strong nation and conquer the known civilized world.  They even led away captive the people of Judah.  For seventy years the Babylonians would be their masters.  The Babylonians turned to idols and worshiped Bel, so the Lord brought them down and delivered that great empire into the hands of Darius the Median king of the Medes and Persians.  Babylon then experienced God’s indignation.

Aren’t you glad to be a recipient of God’s grace and love?     ~
